Some people ask, “When are you going to retire?” We answer, “Retired, what’s that?” There are too many opportunities to serve the Lord! Our knowledge of Spanish keeps us busy. Tom continues to have two Bible classes with Hispanic prisoners in the jail.

We mentor Hispanics in the ministry. Tom also has a ministry of encouragement with young American men serving the Lord in the ministry.

Weekly, June helps an American lady who takes the Emmaus Bible studies to the jail. The woman corrects the prisoners’ answers but does not know Spanish, so she brings them to June for interpreting their answers that require comments on the lessons. June also writes the prisoners encouraging notes.

On February 20, 2007, we will celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. We praise God for all those years together. We were converted two years after we were married. Soon after that, we went to Arizona Bible College in Phoenix. What a joy to have been called to serve the Lord! First we served fourteen years in Honduras and then sixteen years in Spain. And now we are serving Him in the U.S. The lines have fallen to us in pleasant places!

Thank you for standing behind us in prayer and financial gifts!

In His wonderful name,
Tom and June

"Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness!" (Psalm 115:1, NIV)
