Hispanic Ministry Prospers
A Hispanic woman stood up at the close of Tom’s
message on "Extending and Receiving
Forgiveness." She said, "I knew I was going to
have to do something when I heard your message.
I have been treating my daughter very harshly,
showing anger and bitterness toward her. Today I
ask her forgiveness." The steps for the
restoration of their relationship began that
morning. Pray for this family.
Tom continues to teach two weekly Bible classes
in Spanish to inmates in the county jail. Last
week there were 25 men in the two classes. There
have been as many as 40 in attendance. The men
are growing in the knowledge of the Word and the
genuineness of their testimony. Several are able
to articulate their convictions of what they
have learned in the Scriptures. The Christians
meet daily for prayer during the week in small
groups in their dormitories.
On the return of a recent short-term mission
trip to Mexico of young people and adults from
Damascus Community Church, one of the college
students said, "I believe God is calling me to
missions". We begin mentoring him this week.
Praise God for the manifestation of His power in
this ministry of encouragement.

Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love
and faithfulness!" (Psalm 115:1, NIV)
